Shortly after President Trump appeared in the Rose Garden on Thursday and announced his decision to pull the United States out of the Paris climate accord, a pair of White House officials spoke with reporters about the move. Although Trump had expressed interest in reaching a new agreement that he said would be more favorable to the U.S., the White House representatives provided no information on what that might look like or how the accord could be revised when other countries have said it cannot be renegotiated.
